November 8TH & 9TH at 6:30PM

The Linkville Players will hold open auditions beginning at 6:30 on Monday and Tuesday November 8th and 9th, to select the four female member cast of Annie Weisman’s comedy Hold Please directed by veteran Linkville actor and director Laura Allen.
Hold Please is the third production of the Linkville’s 2021/22 theatrical season. It is scheduled to run four weekends and will open January 14, 2022 and will close February 5, 2022. There will be one Sunday matinee on January 30. Rehearsals will generally be held Monday through Thursday from 6:30-8:30, except for the holiday weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. There may be some rehearsals held on Zoom meeting platform.
The auditions will take place in the lobby of the Linkville Theater, 201 Main St in Klamath Falls. Any woman who wants to audition should wear comfortable clothing and plan to arrive at the theater prior to 6:30 but no earlier than 6:15 to complete the audition form and become familiar with the details of the production and the cast requirements. Masks and social distancing will be required.
The cast requires 4 women; 2 should appear on stage to be older than forty and 2 should appear to be in their mid to late 20s. This is a comedy about the office politics of secretaries in a legal office set in 2001. It is also about the dynamics of power among women and between men and women. Finally, it is about how technology, especially computers reduced the need for secretaries, which in turn reduced jobs. No singing or dancing is required but one of the younger women will need to rap a hip-hop ditty. There is very strong language, descriptions of sexual acts and sexual harassment and is not suitable for young children.
